This is another unique cake that we designed for a couple in September. They met in college playing sport frisbe. I never knew it was a sport until I met them. The cake is a frisbe field with UGA frisbe team logo on it......the cake was chocolate mint with mint buttercream......

Hi all,
This was a very chic wedding! I think the bride had some out some outstanding ideas and the floral creations were outstanting. She wore navy ble shoes instead of the traditional white ones and her tiara had blue jewels in it. The florist drove from Panama City, Florida. He is amazing! This was the last of the three weddings that I made on July 18, 2009. This one was in Oplelika, Alabama. As you can see the bride has really good taste. The bridal cake turned out stunning.....
The House of Flowers in Valley, Alabama provided the beautiful roses for the cake and the tables........

This was the second cake for the day and I hope you all like it as much as I did. The bride chose to have a light ivory cake with black accents and red roses. The cake was made around the colors of the brides maids dresses and WOW were they stunning. I don't knwo if I will be able to get a pic but they were ivory with a black shear lace overlay. All of the attendents carried red roses. You can see some of the other flower arrangments provided by LE Fleur in Senoia,Ga. Check them out at lefleurfloristanddesign.com They did a wonderful job. The reception was held at the Verand Bed and Breakfast Inn, also on Senoia. Chek them out at verandabandbinn.com. The grooms cake was carrot cake with black cream chease icing. Hi all!
These weddings that I am about to share are all from July 18, 2009. I was a very busy week into the weekend. The first of the three was, as you can see by the pic, a 3 tiered square creation using vanilla buttercream and navy blue satin ribbon. The reception was held at the Something Special events facility in Newnan, Ga. Check them out at sspecial.net . It was a really nice place. The floweres were fresh hydrangea, beargrass and lisianthus provided by Rona's Flowers of Peachtree City, Ga. Check them out at ronasflowers.com. I will have more info of other vendors and photo as soon as I receive them. I think the cake turned out very pretty. Please forgive me, I was unable to like to the given websites. A December Wedding

Hi all,
Here is another wedding that was done last year, to be exact, it was December 24th 2008. The groom loved Christmas and wanted to be married around that time of year. The cake was created using white-chocolate fondant and swirls on the side of the cake. Tropical Gardens, owner Lucas Patellas was the creater behind the floral genius. He had live christams trees shipped in and used lillies and delphinum through out the theme of the reception. It was really beautiful!!!

I wanted to share these photo of a retirement party that was held for a gentleman that was retiring from World Airways in Peachtree City, Georgia on June 30, 2009. As you can see from the pics, he liked Hawaiian theme. Hi....I just delivered this cake to Vecoma at Yellow river. I really like this place. It is quant and the inside is really pretty. The bride and groom both were a pleasure to work with. She chose shades of purple to accent the entire wedding. Mucklow Jewlery Store

The Mucklow Jewlery Store is opening a bridal salon for their for their bridal jewlery. This place is amazing. It is beautiful. We did a cake for him to display in the store. The flowers are sugar and speciffically made for the store. It matches the burgandy in the decorating. The M on the top was made by a local artist who laser cut and painted it for us. I think the whole cake looks really good. It fits the store nicly!

Burton Wedding

This was a wedding cake that we made for a wedding at the Carter Center in Atlanta. The bride chose gold for the bow and piped swirls on the side of the cake. We had to carve a small portion to flaten the side for the B. The cake was almond buttercream with raspberry filling. The flowers were provided by The Savage Garden. I think Danny does amazing work!!!!

These are very special cakes. They celebrate one more year of life on this earth, for as we know life is a precious thing. These cakes are some examples of what we have created from character cakes, John Deere and Tinkerbelle, to and aumtumn cake with pretty ivory basketweave on the side, to a birthday cake that was 3 weeks in the making. This particular cake....well, everything is edible. All the flowers on the top are made from sugar. The roses usually take 30-45 mins to craft and the lillies....2-3 days (because of the drying time). The chocolate cake was made using dark chocolate Godiva liquer buttercream. YUMMY!!!! The one cake was a first birthday cake that matched the invitation.

This particular cake was for a church function for advent. The cake was wrapped in green fondant with green gumpate holly leaves. The flowers and the holly leaves were handmade. The candles were actually lit for the event....

I travel from time to time to do weddings when requested. This spcific cake was a christmas wedding. As you can see, the bride chose red and white flowers and a fountain, with accenting stairways to connect the entire cake. I think it turned out beautifuly. And they make a cute couple....

This wedding cake that I am sharing with you today is of a very sweet couple. The bride chose ivory buttercream with lace piping to match her veil. As you can see by the pics the bride caught the groom. In planning this cake, the couple said that this specific topper fit them to a "T". The flowers were provided by Tropical Gardens in Fayettville.

Hi,
This cake was very exciting for me to make. It was for a church in Peachtree City. The were celebrating a week of special prayer and adoration. The topper and other decorations were made from sugar paste. I will be honest, I did not make the topper. I have been so busy I had to call in reinforcments....Jill of Jill's Custom Cakes. She is a wonderfull decorator. Extreamly talented!!! The cake itself was trimmed in wine colored satin ribbon.....

This is a very special cake that was inspired by Alan Dunn of England. I was originally made with spring colors. I chose to use green cymbidium orchids and red roses, all of which were crafted by hand, to crown the cake....I used red satin ribbon for the borders. I added red ribbon covered wire and crystals for accents.

I wanted to share a cake that I made for 92.5 FM the Bear. This particular cake was made for the "Relax the Back" store in Peach tree City, Georgia. The Bear was airing live at the store on February 21, 2009. I made a sheet cake then decorated it to look like a Tempur-pedic mattress, complete with a bed skirt and pillows....take a look!

Boni (marketing director for 92.5 FM the Bear) wrote bake to me...."We absolutely loved our Sweet Infinity cake for our promotion. 50th wedding ann. cake

Hello!

Another cake for you....this was a 50th wedding anniversary cake done in November of last year. The cake itself was a true English pound cake with real vanilla butter cream. I pipped some scrolls on the side then inlaid gold edible pearls into the icing.....the client reported that the people loved every bite of it.....the colors were light ivory, a darker ivory and gold. Rona's Flower Shop provided the cake topper that held white roses, gold metallic leaves and 2 small doves......

Hello again!

I wanted to share this photo today also. This cake was made for a going away part for a lady who was leaving Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City. We called it "Stairway to Heaven". It is a 4-tiered white chocoloate fondant square cake. We used a special rose called "chocolate rose". These flowers are so beautiful.....they are coral and yellow and the tips are brownish red in color. The whole of the cake was adorned in fall colors. The corneli lace in the center of the stairs was piped in gold. The topper was made with fresh flowers and a large glod cross was at the top. The lady was moved to tears when she saw the cake. I stayed to help cut and serve. Everyone made comments on how good the cake looked as well as the taste. This was a fun cake!

How to buy a wedding cake.

Hi!

I wanted to share an article that I wrote on the ins and outs of buying a wedding cake. Here it is....I hope this helps in planning for your cake.

1) First and foremost, try to order at least 6 months in advance. A good designer needs time to plan and map out the perfect cake, espically if there is gumpaste flowers to be made, as this is done by hand.

2) When consulting with the cake designer, make sure there are cakes to sample. Request any special flavors before the meeting. Tast is important, and the fewer the surprises the better. Take photos of cakes, color schemes or any other ideas. This will help expidite the planning process.

3) Take into consideration the type of reception that you are planning and make sure to discuss this with the decorator. For example: if you are having an outside reception a cheese cake is not a good idea. Choose a cake that has a higher probibility of lasting through the day.

4) Go over details in the contract and make sure that it specifies details for cake cutting, set up, any rental, cake knife needs, payment details, floral details, and venue details. With respect to floral details, make sure to discuss any floral needs with the designer so they can coordinate efforts with the florist. With regard to the venue, discuss the details of the venue to ensure that the designer knows table details. This will provide smooth planning and a stress free day if everyone is on the same page.

5) If working on a budget, talk to your decorator about your concerns. Wedding cakes are expensive and there is a reason. Fondant and gumpaste flowers are high dollar items. If they are not in your budget, you might choose butter cream and fresh flowers instead. Another option is to scale down on the bridal cake itself, and add a sheet cake for the guest.

6) Ask to see pictures of the decorator's past work. Request letters of recommendations or testimonials from other brides. It is important to be confident in the capabilities of the designer.

7) Finally, be true to yourself. Remember this is your day. If your want a chocolate fandant covered bridal cake, then you should get it. When it comes to what's in style, who cares? If you like it, take the cake and run with it!

Good morning all!

I am having to retrospect all of last year's wedding cakes. Today will be of a cake, bridal and groom's, that I made in November. The family was a wonderful family to work with. They were a lot of fun. The bride chose the standard, no fail recipe of french vanilla, raspberry filling, almond butter cream icing and bright white-white chocolatefondant. I also inlaid edible white pearls into the fondant. You can see her wedding topper......she married into the family of the Marines. They were a really cute and nice couple. I made blue velvet sugar roses with silver accents. The groom wanted a key lime pie....so we turned it into a key lime pie chocolate groom's cake.....see the pics for yourself!

I wanted to share this wedding that photo that was held Dec 24, 2008. I enjoyed working with the brides and groom. I think they had good taste! The florist was Lucas and Raelynn Patellas, owners of Tropical Gardens in Fayetteville, Georgia. They are amazing to work with!! The bride chose roses and white lillies. Lucas also had live christmas trees trimmed in blue lights brought in and placed around the ballroom. The wedding and the reception were held at Whitewater Country Club.

The buzz was the grooms cake. He was a graduate of GT. All of buzz was pipped!
